There’s three Friday the 13th’s this year and I gotta say… I don’t think it’s the calendar that ruining everything. It's also Women's Month! A Month to celebrate women, because there's International Women's Day, and to celebrate Perry and I attended the Women in Publishing Summit and I bid on a signed Women in Hockey History Night artwork to support Bras for Girls to keep puberty from being a barrier for girls to participate. It's pretty cool! I won the Ryan Winterton one (Soupy's items jumped in price FAST) and if you're interested, I'll share pics!

Anyway... It’s been a minute since I’ve sent a newsletter, I think… Maybe? I have no concept of time. How are you all doing? How is everyone feeling with **gestures everywhere** all of this? Cuz… I am not feeling great.

To all the newbies here, WELCOME! I’m Noelle, aka the writers E. N. Crane and Noelle Rider, and the only human employee of Perry Dog Publishing. The other employees are Perry (obvs), CEO and character art model for Winnie, and Padfoot, CCO and the character art model for Ruger and Grim. We have an unpaid intern, known as HuDad, or my husband, who brings us coffee and treats.

I write plus-size, caffeine addictive, pet-loving women who are smart, sassy, and pain-in-the-ass-y. LOL. But accurate. We're also all "woke", mostly because it's hard to sleep with all the coffee and whatnot.

I'm a plus-sized, neuro-divergent dog mom, city government employee, wife, reader, and step-ladder substitute for short people who need help. I love coffee, Peeps, cheese, wine and dogs.

If you haven’t read anything by me yet, please check out my books! I don’t have them on my website at the moment due to e-commerce drama. Oh the DRAMA! I’m working on rebuilding, but it will take a hot minute… or a lot of minutes in 60 section blocks known as hours.

Soo…. Some updates! They are going to surgery my first ankle the third week in April, AND I'll have to re-learn how to walk, and exist, but... I should still be able to do these events!

Breaking News: The tentative schedule for 2026!

March 14: Grown Up Book Fair at Amelie's here in Boise! It'll be from 1800 - 2000 (6PM-8PM) on Pi Day (tomorrow). The address is 1749 S Cole Rd. There will be games, raffles, all sorts of things!

March 16 & 18: Un-author plans! US Army Field Jazz Band at Morrison Center and Steelheads Game! It's Sasquatch night! The merch is going to be SO COOL

March 26-29: Book Lover’s Con Las Vegas! You can get tickets here, and if you’re already going and want to make sure I have your favorite book, you can pre-order here (or reply to this email to pre-order direct). I’m cooking up a special box set, with this insanely cool shelf display box set that should hold books 1-10. I’m still waiting for the proof sample. It’ll be event exclusive, so let me know if you need an email when it’s available for pre-order!

April 11: Not book news, but... My first Seattle Kraken Game at Climate Pledge!!!! So excited. Going to hug Buoy if I can because Treasure Troll kid.

April 20 Something: Ankle surgery... IDR the date, it's in my planner and that's too... far away...

July 11: E. N. Crane only signing at Barnes & Noble Boise!

July 25: Cosma Con Day Zero (Boise!): A new local even with live music and artists. No idea what the day will bring, but look into it if you’re local and need an air conditioned July experience.

August 10: Shinedown!!!! (I've been wanting to see them live FOREVER!!! This is exciting).

August 31: Nampa Pooch Party! It's a dog day with some vendors and I figured, why not! I love dogs and my books have dogs so... I'm giving it a shot. Learn all about the dog swimming, fun walks and everything here!

September 19: Between a Hex and Highlander Release! Preorder on Amazon! ​

No books released after September! Doing Kicking Holly Jolly Killers during the holiday season nearly killed me.

October 21-25: Bouchercon in Calgary, Alberta, Canada! I might not be speaking, presenting or signing, but I will be there, and if any of my Canadian fur-iends want to say hi, I’m down! To me, Perry, or Padfoot… though meeting Perry requires planning, bribery, bribery, and a neutral meeting location because she has reactivity issues. But… we still love her.

November 14: Three Days Grace, I Prevail and The Funeral Portrait!! Also not book related, I'm just super excited.

E. N. Crane Pupdates!

Licking Crash Landing has a cover! And a blurb! Are you ready for it (dun, dun, dun... Sorry to the non-Swifties who don't hear that in their heads).

When an unmanned aircraft crashes nears Sweet Pea, there's only one dog for the job.

A downed aircraft in the farmland outside Sweet Pea has a dead body, and it may not be the only one. Ruger's training in human remains detection, coupled with Cynthia "Cyn" Sharp and Winnie's investigative skills are recruited to figure out who was on that craft and what it's doing in Ohio.

But when there's people on a plane, not scheduled to fly, or meant to have pilots, leaving from a base with no record of it existing traveling to an unrecorded destination, it's more than just a flight log that's been buried. Cyn, Winnie and Ruger will need to sniff out the secrets before everything crashes around them.

Noelle Rider News!

I've been re-writing Pumpkin Spice to address the head hopping and tense issues. One would not think this would take months, but it does, in fact, take months when you really don't want to do it. Stay tuned for the re-release of that novella, which is now longer, and hopefully better! If it's not better... might have to cry.

I started a Dark Hockey Romance!

I love hockey romance, but it all feels done and I didn't think I had anything to contribute to the genre until an idea hit at the Golden Knight's game in Vegas. It latched on through game after game until a week later, there was no way around it.

Pucking Damned was born. A hacker sees a star defenseman of the Foxhill Shadow Monsters murder the client sent to kill her, before he abducts her to keep her safe. Riley Knight doesn't want to be saved, but when Darren Perril's life doesn't seem like his own, she is willing to put everything on the line to save him. Except the Shadow Monsters aren't just another professional hockey team. Monstera hired the worst of the worst, players too violent to be on any other team, and recruited them to be on hers. Traveling the country as players, committing murders in the shadows, and seeking justice against the 1% who brutalized Monstera as a child.

And now Riley has to choose between joining the team, or protecting the real monsters.

Padfoots Pals / Periodicals

There's too much news, I can't do anymore reading, sharing, inundating. My Kraken are losing and it's sad, but I still love them. Sports news is the only thing I feel like sharing and even that's stressing me out. Is this what it's like to be a fan??? Spring is coming, so be mindful of pests and take safety precautions with your furry children. Snakes bite, mice can have poison, and stinging insects can cause allergic reactions. Fleas and ticks are also going to be on the rise. Protect them, protect yourself, look after your neighbors, and don't be a bad person.

As always, please send me fur baby pics!!! If you don't want them shared, that's cool. I just wanna see the cuteness!
