Because honestly, this book almost didn't happen.

I’m Noelle, menial laborer / Author of Perry Dog Publishing. My CEO, Perry, and CCO, Padfoot, are rescues and rescuers. As E N Crane, I write humorous mysteries (previously thrillers, but that was another life). My character a plus-sized, caffeine addicted, sarcastic and deeply bonded with her former military canine partner. She has an innate sense of right and wrong, an insane family, and lives in a small town full of eccentrics who are into public nudity.

As Noelle Rider, I write romance where my female lead characters are all plus-sized, caffeine addicted, sarcastic and deeply bonded with their dogs… and then they… you know, with the male lead. They have spice, drama and trauma. Unfortunately, my first full length novel under this pen name, Witching and Scheming, has been taken down, but it'll be back up in August.

Sharp Investigations is Getting a Facelift!

Itching Against Ignorance Paperback is LIVE and the eBook will be out on July 7th or 9th... I don't remember anymore!

I may have mentioned I purchased this program, Atticus, to help me with my interior layout. Is it easier than doing it myself in Word? Heck no. Can I do cooler stuff in there? Somewhat, but as they say in Once Upon a Time - All magic comes with a cost, dearie.

The biggest benefit to reformatting all the books in Atticus is that it will apply the same template to all the books so they will look the same without the possibility of me getting confused and I can add random clip art. If you've seen the original covers, you know I LOVE random clip art... and COLOR! It also allowed me to include the character of Cyn I made on the cover sheet inside.

I took the opportunity to add the book numbers to the spines, putting them on a paw print that matched the color of the title. I thought it was redundant initially because the books are alphabetical, but I have been seeing some posts in reader groups of people complaining about books not being explicitly numbered on the cover (not mine, but obviously I take all advice to heart) and I thought it would be a fun way to bring in more color. What do you think?

You might also notice the back of Barking is different. When I was redoing the files to bring uniformity, I discovered it was gone. And when I went to remake it, I couldn't find the old picture I used. So now there are cows! So far, the interior and exterior changes have been applied to Barking, Chasing and Itching! I should get the rest updated soon!

Which brings us to Book #9... Jumping! Except... I need help naming it! Submit your Name suggestions in the form below! If your title is chosen, I'll send you a book of your choice (signed if US, from Amazon if International). The only requirements are that it starts with Jumping and the last Noun has a similar sound (if not also starting with J, like Phonies above).

The Premise For Book 9: Cyn and Winnie's family is growing. With Triggers passing, Ruger is now a Sharp. But having watched his person pass, Ruger's not ready to let go of the knowledge that he didn't just die: He was murdered.

The main themes: Corrupt politicians, unjust justices / state laws, secrets and bribes, possibly junkyards...

I can't wait to see what you come up with!

Paranormal August is Happening!

Witching and Scheming is under re-examination. I'm having a hard time with the re-work because all the negative feedback has made me irrationally angry with it. But, there's a paranormal free book promo I'm working on with some other Indies, and it will include Witching and Scheming AND Without Intention. Underboob sweat rash season is here! I already have a super itchy rash and it's my own fault because I didn't take the advice y'all gave to put some maxi pads up in there. The sensation I lost in my 5th metatarsal in Florida still hasn't returned and I went to a foot and ankle specialist to hopefully also address the agony that is my ankle... Now I have an orthopedic boot to wear whenever I leave the house. Three years of pain and they still don't know how to help me. He doesn't even think this boot will help, he was just like "I can give you a boot if you want, maybe if we immobilize it for awhile the inflammation will calm... but I don't know..."

Like... I know it's called "practicing" medicine, but I didn't know how un-useful being practiced on would be. Also going downhill in a boot is hard, downstairs impossible. I just swing down using the railings like parallel bars.

I have a 5K and a half marathon in Washington on the 16th and I'm pretty sure it's going to be a trainwreck, but I'm not a quitter, so... here we go!

Padfoots Periodicals / Pals

Skyboom Nights have been AWFULZ! I shooks uncontrollably dezbites the trazadones and Gabapentins Humoms gibbed me. It was a long six hours... and it's probably going to keep going for a few more days because we live in hell. Eberyone tried to combort me though. Fingers cross I makes it.
