It's Not the 5th of November, Reader!

That rhyme lives rent free in my head since I saw V for Vendetta. "Remember, Remember, the fifth of November with gun powder treason and...." I don't remember anything after that. But my mother in laws birthday is November 4th and because I remember, remembered, I always forget and thinks it's the 5th.

And now it's the 7th, so failure to all and to all a good morning.

If you're new here, welcome! I'm Noelle, AKA E. N. Crane and Noelle Rider, and I write books for animal lovers with a wicked sense of humor. My main characters are plus-sized, coffee addicted, and "woke", mostly because it's hard to sleep with all the coffee and whatnot.

I'm a plus-sized, neuro-divergent dog mom, city government employee, wife, reader, and step-ladder substitute for short people who need help. I love coffee, Peeps, cheese, and crushing fragile male egos into dust. Most of my updates are E. N. Crane related today and this email is just to let you know that I didn't die, again! But it was close!

Breaking News: Kicking Holly Jolly Killers Deferred Two Weeks

I'm so sorry. I tried so hard to get it out by the 27th, but... life. Instead of coming out on November 27th (Thanksgiving) it will be releasing on December 13 (Taylor Swift Birthday). As an apology to the few people who pre-ordered, please enjoy this character art that will now be featured on all the cover pages by the amazing Anna L.! The picture is called "Madness", and based on the meme "Persephone went mad because Cerberus had 3 head and she only had two hands to pet him" and this picture of me with two dogs and no hand no hands to drink coffee. Anna also does pet portraits and its on my to-do list to commission some as gifts for family!

Now, this obviously had to become a sticker. So to make up for my pre-order failures, if you send me a screen shot of your preorder, I will mail you a sticker and a bookmark and... IDK, I have a lot of swag for in person events... mostly stickers... to make up for the delay in the book release.

Personally...

After almost a year of planning, the WDW trip for my anniversary finally happened. We did the Wine and Dine 5K, Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party, visited all four parks and started the half marathon... and...... ankles, pain, a toe infection from a blister, suspected stress fracture and now I get to go back to physical therapy. We made it 6.5 miles before I was kicked off the course. Mile one was canted at a 30 degree ankle and I couldn't recover from the pain. Mile 4ish had a photo pass photographer who captured the moment I knew I wouldn't make it. But aside from that and the tropical storm that delayed us from getting home, it was a nice trip.

Hopefully you like my vacation photos. I think they came out really cute.... except the one that shows me admitting my human shape could not endure. Did not feel good mentally, but I am not defined by my ability to walk or run 13.1 miles... or my ability to write books. And you, dear reader, are not defined by your accomplishments or activities either.

You are not required to produce to have value. You make the world brighter just by showing up in it.
